Brenda Clews

With collectors spanning the globe, Brenda Clews is making waves and quickly emerging as an artist to watch.  Using an organic approach to painting, Brenda’s work is layered, playful and experimental.  Her intuitive use of vibrant colour, deliberate texture, and bold mark making, evokes the wonder of nature and uplifts the spirit.  Each brushstroke responsive to the previous, invites the observer on a journey that reveals the stories found within the ever-changing landscapes of Aoteoroa. 
Represented in Auckland by Endemic World and The Frame Workshop & Gallery, she also had a successful solo exhibition ‘Beyond the Trees’ in March at The Mandarin Tree in Gordonton.
