Larisse Hall
Larisse fuse's the ethereal quality of light with the materiality of paint, to produce works of art that transform with time. Embodying our cultural rhythms in a contemplation of everyday life.
Based in Nelson, Hall exhibited her first light sculpture in 2014. This motivated her desire to infuse her painted works with the colour and energy of light... not as easy as initially imagined... it took a year of experimentation before Hall produced her first successfull light infused work.
That same year Hall's light sculpture 'Flirt' was long listed in the Aesthetica Art Prize, England (2015).
Most recently, Hall had work selected to exhibit digitally, as a finalist in Art Takes Soho, New York (See.Me)
